General Election November 2nd, 2010 Others running to represent the 38th District? Iris Lilly and Hugh Fleet, and John Koster Rod Rieger is the owner of a small business, Audio Video Security Systems Inc, and a Republican with fiscal conservative values and the firm belief that small government is the better alternative to large government oversight. Budget and government transparency is crucial. Rod also opposes a state income tax. Citizens need to be informed about the cost of government and where their tax dollars are being spent. Subsidies need to be phased out. Pork barrel spending should be greatly curtailed. Washington State should lower taxes and cut spending to help Washington become more business friendly, bring companies and work into Washington, rather than forcing them out. Rod also believes the State should further explore less conventional teaching methods and tools such as; speed reading and proven memorization techniques. He also believes more emphasis should be placed on teaching the State and US constitutions and the Declaration of Independence He believes this is of great importance for our states and nation. Rod will never trade his liberty for security, because liberty is his security.
